Just 10X It!

There is a new term floating around in our culture called 10X, referring to multiplying results ten times the normal amount. There is even a book called “The 10X Rule: The Only Difference Between Success and Failure” published by Grant Cardone. Honestly, this term is amusing to me because it assumes achieving better results requires us to get the right education or training or do something specific. The world is continually telling us to do or act in a certain way to improve our station in life. However, it is our relationship with God we need to improve, not what the world deems to be in our best interest. Only God can multiply our gifts.

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, (2 Corinthians 9: 10–12 NKJV)

Jesus fed a crowd of 5000 with five loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus also gave us the Holy Spirit to indwell within us to be used to multiply our efforts and to intercede for us.

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever — the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” (John 14:16–17 NKJV)

The financial service industry is not immune to the 10X craving. One can easily find articles on the internet published by authors who make statements purporting to multiply your investments 10X times like “This Is My #1 Secret to Scoring 10X Returns in the Stock Market”. Naturally, these authors are leading the reader to some hyped-up tactic that will provide them with recognition or income. The Bible warns us to beware of false teachers.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. (2 Timothy 4: 3–4 NKJV)

If you are not honoring God with your investment capital, why would you expect Him to bless and multiply your efforts? It may astonish many Christians to discover what their retirement investment portfolio is supporting. Does your investment program honor your faith, goals, and beliefs? Are you managing your money His way or are you succumbing to the worldly view of money and investing? There is a better way.

Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI) is all about honoring God by investing according to His word. BRI ensures alignment with your faith and values. You should be proud of the investments you own by investing in high-quality companies that hold themselves to exceptional moral standards. What if your investments could honor God and have a positive impact on the world? When we invest in honorable companies that do not derive profits from activities like abortion, slave labor, or addictive sources, then we can make a difference in the world. If you want to 10X your efforts, follow God’s plan for your whole life, including your investments, and watch Him work.

Your faithful servant
